(Esther 1:1-9) Elect Exiles Worship Only the King of Kings

Mar 22, 2026    Jeremy Nelson

This is the Livestream of our Sunday morning worship service from 3/22/2026. In this sermon, we are beginning a series going through the book of Esther. In the first nine verses, we see a self-proclaimed powerful Persian king, flaunting his wealth before his officials and subjects. This king ruled over much of the known world at the time, including the Jewish people, and this book deals specifically with the Jews who remained in the land of exile. As Christians, we are also exiles, on our way to our true heavenly homeland. As exiles, we do not need to fear worldly power, nor should we worship it. We worship only our true King, the King above all kings!
